Explore wind ensemble repertoire in a variety of styles, with opportunities for publiperformance. Suitable for players of Grade 4-6 (ABRSM) standard (depending on assigned parts) . Students can join in any term, subject to tutor approval. Players of all woodwind instruments are welcome to join this very sociable class.
Playing with the ensemble and with individual sections. Making note of practice required between sessions. Listening to the tutor and taking notes. Participating in an end-of-term in-class performance in external performance opportunities where possible. You will need to follow and contribute to discussions in English. Music Study can include the use of digital resources such as listening to recordings, watching videos online, using appropriate mobile applications and following Moodle -快播成人网's virtual learning environment- to enhance your learning inside and outside the classroom. Music study also offers a range of benefits including being an enjoyable way to enhance wellbeing. Music practice at 快播成人网 can also serve to enhance skills relevant for employment including developing creativity, developing high-concentration levels, building self-confidence, working to deadlines, being able to control nerves and working as part of a team.
At least two years' playing experience or a level of at least ABRSM Grade 4 is necessary. Previous ensemble experience is desirable but not essential, however you should be reasonably confident at reading rhythms, counting rests and playing in keys of up to 4 sharps and flats.
You will need to be able to play for a two hour session with short break in the middle. Due to the nature of the instruments/content of the course you might be exposed to high volume levels. We strongly encourage everyone to bring a pair of ear plugs to every lesson. Excellent attendance and punctuality is required from all students. This course requires study/completion of activities outside of class time.
